I was looking out the window of our car at the one bit of sunrise I could see amidst its stormy gray foreground covered by ice droplets that had formed on the passenger side window. The further away from my house we got, and the closer to ‘humanity’ we got, my view of God’s encouraging artwork was obstructed by buildings. Why is it that we humans must stay so far from God when he is there for us when none other of our kind is? God is the Light, the hope, amongst the darkness, the terror. God is the bit of sunshine on a day of snow cold, and cloudy skies.
