“Those of us, whose names can be found below, are citizens of America, under President Julie Dowler. By the grace of God, we have made it here to a new world. Having gone through many trials for the advancement of America, and this American Crew, our trip has been a success. Our voyage to the northern hemisphere of Mars has ended. Now here, we begin to start of the first human colony on Mars. In the presence of God and of one another, we establish the beginning of a new civilization together in a civil group of people. We will establish laws to bring order and preserve the colony, while further continuing its growth. These laws will be just and equal. We will meet from time to time to touch base with America via satellite transmissions. For the general good of the colony we all agree and establish these laws. We have digitally signed our names at the base of Mount Parker the fourth of August, during the Presidency of President Julie Dowler of Fairbanks, Alaska in the United States of America. Julie pro praesieo! Silicis in spider vir! 2030.” (The original Port 5 compact. )
