Crafty Books

Today was an interesting day. I went to Jo- Ann’s Fabric and found some wonderful books. The book themes vary as much as the crafts you find there.

The first book I found is called Creepy, Cute Crochet by Christen Haden. It is your basic how- to book on making little crochet creatures; from a cleric to a ninja. Of course if you are interested in myths there is Medusa and the Spartan. But if you love the rain forest there is an Amazon girl and a monkey just for you.

The second book I got is called Mixed Mania: Recipes for Delicious Mixed Media Creations by Debbi Crane and Cheryl Prater. Looking at this book it defiantly takes scraping to a whole new level. Instead of just using your fancy ideas for a scrapbooking project they use the same ideas put them on a 3D scale. At least you won’t get a paper cut by flipping back and forth over your finished project.

Dorm Décor: Remake Your Space with More than 35 Projects (by Theresa Gonzalez and Nicole Smith) isn’t just for that college girl with white walls and a bed; it’s for anyone looking to spice up their small room. Not only does it have ways to update the white walls but ways to update everything from how you carry your laptop to where you sit to relax. Yes this is aimed at the college girls but you can use anything in this book to update anything you do… all you need is a sewing needle and some fabric.

I plan on doing projects from all three books. I will also post photos and information on the ease of each project I do. Wish me well, thanks.
